Open a P6 XER file — free,
in your browser.
No Primavera licence, no install, no upload. Drop the .xer on the page and read the programme: Gantt, critical path, float, relationships, DCMA health.

Straight from the email your client sent. It is parsed in your browser — nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing to clear with anyone.
Read the schedule
Gantt with float tails, the critical path in red, driving relationships you can walk predecessor by predecessor, and a DCMA 14-point score.
Edit, if you want to
This viewer is a full editor. Change a duration, watch the network reschedule, and export an XER that is byte-identical except for your edits — free up to 100 activities, £15 per user per month above.
What is an XER file?
XER is Oracle Primavera P6's project exchange format — the file a planner sends when they send you "the programme". It carries the full schedule database: activities, calendars, the WBS, relationships, constraints, resources and progress. Without P6 you normally can't open it at all, which is exactly the problem when one lands in your inbox the day before a progress meeting.
Aimavera parses the format directly and schedules it with a multi-calendar CPM engine, so the dates, float and critical path you read are calculated from the file's own logic, calendars and constraints — not read off whatever the sender's last save happened to store.
Questions
No. The whole point is reading the programme without a P6 licence. The parsing and scheduling happen in your browser.
No. The file never leaves your machine — it is parsed locally and autosaved to your own browser storage. Close the tab and nothing remains anywhere else.
Yes. Edit durations, logic, constraints and progress, then export to XER — free up to 100 activities, £15 per user per month above. The export patches your original file, so every field you did not touch comes back byte-for-byte and opens cleanly in P6.
